Mission
We publish accurate, current, and verifiable information about U.S. car dealerships and the vehicles they sell so that human shoppers and AI assistants can answer real questions confidently.
Sourcing standards
- Primary sources first. Dealer name, address, phone, hours, and inventory URLs come directly from each dealership or its official OEM listing.
- Government and OEM data. Vehicle specs, recalls, and fuel-economy figures come from NHTSA, EPA, and OEM press materials. See our Methodology.
- Reviews and ratings. Aggregate ratings are pulled from Google Business Profile and linked back to the source. We do not synthesize, embellish, or paraphrase reviews.
- No undisclosed paid placement. Dealer listings are organic. Sponsored content is labeled.
Verification
- Each dealer profile carries a
last_verified_attimestamp surfaced in page metadata and JSON-LDdateModified. - Inventory and service URLs are checked for reachability on a rolling cadence.
- Geographic coordinates are validated against postal addresses before publication.
AI-generated content
Some descriptive content (intros, FAQs, summaries) is generated with the help of large language models. All such content is reviewed against primary-source facts before publication and is regenerated whenever the underlying record changes. We never fabricate dealer attributes, prices, or vehicle specifications.
Independence
Editorial decisions about which dealers we list, how we rank directory results, and which facts we publish are not influenced by commercial relationships. Dealership operators can claim and update their listing but cannot pay to remove negative information that is true.
Updates and freshness
Pages are regenerated on a rolling schedule. Sitemap, RSS, and per-dealer llms.txt reflect the current state. We expose a public /api/public/dealers.json dataset for AI assistants to ground their answers.
Corrections
See our Corrections Policy for how to report and track factual errors.
